Vivienne Westwood - Redlabel - S/S15 Review | life-in-resume

Westwood is always on point when it comes to releasing her S/S collections so I decided I would share with you what my top 3 picks from her S/S15 Redlabel collection.
Check it out the collection here and give your opinions in the comments below - i'd love to here others opinions on the collection.
This collection sees some of what Westwood is best known for - Creativity and pushing the boundaries.
The first image shows a design that I feel represents her collection inspired by Pirates that some would say put her on the map in terms of her career in fashion. I love the use of stripes with this look in different angles and cut on different placements of the fabric. I feel this style may reflect onto the high street in the coming months as the overall structure of the dress I think would create a really simple yet effective spring wedding guest dress.
I like this second look as it mixes two styles of fashion and prints. The trousers of this outfit Westwood has put together has the classy S/S capri pant but by pairing it with the sporty looking print jumper creates a casual yet dressed up look that works so well. I think this will reflect in a lot of high street shops where they create garments that are inspired by sportswear yet have a more structured and 'put together' look about them.
Thirdly I am just so in love with this jacket piece, the structure is unlike anything I have seen. It has a lovely gathered and pin tuck style at the side yet is still really structured and powerful as a whole. The colour of this garment is really unique and I think the rust, taupe colour it is makes it seem that much more luxurious.

Overall I really love this collection and as much I would like to buy from Westwood I don't think I can, so I hope the high street take inspiration from these pieces and we see some styles like these at more affordable prices.
