Pastel Blue Outfit | life-in-resume

Pastels and summer go hand in hand so this summer I am going to be doing a series where i post 5 blog posts each being a pastel colour outfit (Blue, pink, yellow, lilac and green/mint). I hope that these posts will allow you to try out more pastel colours so you have the cute S/S trend that comes around every year.

I created this first outfit by putting not only the colour scheme (Pastel blue) within it but also key pieces that are really on trend and will make the outfit that bit more current.

1. Mint green sweetheart waffle skater skirt - New Look - £17.99
I can't even explain how in love i am with this dress. The colour is such a beautiful shade of pastel blue and the sweetheart neck line add to the simple girly-ness of this dress. The waffle effect gives garments a really simple yet pretty texture.
2. Chrysanthemum statement necklace - Accessorize - £19.00
This necklace has S/S written all over it. The off white colours work nicely with the kimono.
3. Cutwork saddle bag - Oasis - £25.00
A cute little shoulder bag can really make an outfit look nice and casual - that's why i went with this bag as i feel the cut out detail ties in nicely with the lace kimono and the flowers of the necklace.
4. Florence gladiator sandals - Topshop - £30.00
This style of sandals are every where and opinions on them are varied but i think they would work really well with this style of outfit.
5. 'Rock the boat' - Essie - Superdrug - £7.99
This polish is a lovely colour and although slightly brighter than the dress i feel it will compliment it that bit more by being brighter as it'll enhance it's colour. This will look lovely on both finger and toe nails (especially with flip flops).
6. Lace kimono - H&M - £19.99
All i can say is, I NEED THIS?! With lace being my favorite fabric not only to work with (textiles) but also to wear as i feel it such a classy style yet it can still be casual.

Hope you enjoyed this post - Next Pastel Outfit is coming soon. Follow, Like & Comment.
