Preppy Back To School Outfit | life-in-resume

Well for some people the summer holidays have only just started but for other people around the world it's time to sharpen your pencils, iron your clothes and get your calculators out because ITS BACK TO SCHOOL (dun dun dun).
I've created an outfit for more of a 'preppy' girl but it can be worn by anyone as fashion has no limits. I know in England the majority of schools you have to wear a uniform from year 7-11 but this is more for non uniform wearers but there are going to be some posts for every school goer soon.
I kept the items in the look simple, suitable, moderately cheap and minimal because you don't want to much going on when it's only school you are attending.
1. Boyfriend style t-shirt - warehouse - £12
These style t-shirts are bang in trend this summer. They can be worn with everything shorts, skirts, jeans, trousers and they look cool under dungarees. This top is more of an 'expensive' one as I know you can buy them in primark for under £5. These are defiantly a staple in a school wardrobe.
2. Red hi top converse - office - £47.99
Converse, once you buy a pair you will honestly never look back. They are comfy, long lasting, look good old and go with almost everything. If you don't want to splash the money on these you can go for a red pump.
3. Black lace frill sock - topshop - £3.50
Love lace...there for I love lace socks. These look super cute with all kind if outfits. They add cute little details onto shoes. I think socks like these add a Rachel Berry (glee) feel or a Tokyo style.
4. Herschel post backpack - asos.com - £55
Pack backs have been big this year and they are perfect for school. This bag would defiantly fit all the rubbish school make you take and much more. If you aren't willing to pay this much cheaper alternatives can be found else where.
5. Pleated tartan skirt - h and m - £14.99
Tartan is going to be big this autumn winter. This skirt is super preppy and reminds me of something you would have brought from tammy girl about 7 years ago. But I love the school vibe it gives off and how it has a Vivienne Westwood feel with the tartan.
6. Small pendant necklace - Accessorize - £12
Any cute little charm necklace would work well with this outfit but I thought this one was really cute.
